Chitwan Bamboo Lodge is located in Meghauli-27, Chitwan — directly on the edge of Chitwan National Park's western buffer zone. The Rapti River runs along our boundary, providing guests with immediate access to one of Nepal's most important wildlife corridors.
Every structure at the lodge is built using local, natural materials: structural bamboo, mud plaster, thatch (saccharum spontaneum), and reclaimed timber. These materials are not just aesthetically beautiful — they are thermally efficient, environmentally responsible, and deeply connected to the traditional architecture of the Terai region.
The lodge accommodates approximately 7 bamboo cottages with private bathrooms, a central dining area, a garden, and access to the riverside. The property is intentionally small — large enough to host guests comfortably, small enough to maintain the peace and intimacy that makes it special.
We run on solar power, use filtered water, and have eliminated single-use plastics entirely. Our garden produces herbs and vegetables used in the kitchen.
