We believe the beauty of Chitwan should be accessible to everyone. Here is what we have in place — and how we are continuing to improve.
The reception, dining room, and common areas are on ground level with step-free access. Pathways between the main buildings are level and well-lit.
We have one ground-floor room with wider doorways, a walk-in shower with grab rails, and step-free access. Please request this room at the time of booking.
The restaurant is fully accessible with seating that accommodates wheelchairs. Staff are trained to assist guests with mobility requirements.
Some jungle trails involve uneven terrain and are not suitable for wheelchairs. We can arrange shorter, flatter routes for guests with limited mobility — please discuss this with us before booking.
Our Rapti River boat trips can be adapted for guests with limited mobility. Please inform us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Our team is available 24 hours a day to assist guests with accessibility needs. Please do not hesitate to ask.
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The following features are in place to support digital accessibility.
All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. We include a skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and alt text on all images to support screen reader users.
Our colour palette meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio requirements across all body text and interactive elements.
All text on our website can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Visible focus indicators are maintained on all interactive elements for keyboard and switch access users.
If you have specific accessibility requirements or have encountered a barrier on our website or at the lodge, please let us know. We take all feedback seriously and will do our best to accommodate you.
