Accommodation
Built in the Tharu tradition using mud, bamboo, and natural plaster — our traditional rooms offer an authentic stay that connects you directly to the cultural heritage of the Terai.
Tharu people have built with mud and bamboo for generations. These materials are locally abundant, require no energy to process, and create rooms that stay cool in Chitwan's hot summers and warm during cooler winter nights.
Our traditional rooms follow this vernacular architecture — thick mud walls, bamboo framing, and smooth plastered interiors decorated with geometric patterns inspired by Tharu folk art.
Staying in a traditional room is not a rustic compromise — it is a deliberate choice to experience something real. These are comfortable, clean, and cared for. They are simply built in a way that has worked perfectly in this landscape for centuries.
